As we are not in school tomorrow, we participated in a 2 minute silence today to show respect for soldiers past and present.
We looked at the poem In Flanders Fields and how this led to the poppy becoming the symbol of Remembrance.
The children then wrote a poem or created their own poppy field artwork. Examples of these can be seen on the Remembrance Day link on Year 5 and 6 page.
