Year 5/6 Blogpost 25/4/25

Dear Parents/ Carers,

We hope that you enjoyed your Easter break. The children have come back to school ready and raring to go for the final stretch of this academic year. There's lots going on, so please keep an eye on all methods of communication to avoid missing out on anything.

ANCIENT GREEKS - Next Thursday 1.5.25

This term in Year 5 and 6, we are learning about Ancient Greece. We have booked Victrix to come into school- All children should have received a letter regarding the details of what is taking place.

We would request that the children come to school dressed as an ancient Greek. The session will be a lively and interactive storytelling of famous Greek myths and legends, starting with reality into legend with the 300 Spartans at Thermopylae. We then look at perhaps the most famous Ancient Greek ever - Alexander the Great, a historical figure to whom many legends have been added. We then act out famous Greek myths and legends.

TTRS Day - Next Friday 2.5.25

We are going to be celebrating TTRS day as a school next Friday. The children will be offered additional time to take part in activities that allow them to rehearse and join in activities using their times tables. We invite the children to dress up as a 'rock star' for the day. It has always been celebrated with our pupils in the past and hope to see all of our pupils take part in our fun-filled day.
