Happy Friday everyone!

We have had another busy week in Year 5 and 6.

On Thursday, we all enjoyed taking part in World Book Day.  The children looked fabulous in their costumes and loved sharing their books with younger children when we read in our House teams.

A huge thank you to the PTA who came into school today to run the Mother's Day sale.  We have lots of lucky mums, nans, aunties and carers who will be receiving some lovely treats and surprises this Sunday.

Homework

Homework pages have been upoaded and spellings have been set.  Please make sure your children check Google Classroom.

Class Dojo/Year 5/6 Email Account

From Monday, all messages should be sent via Class Dojo.  We will no longer be using the Year 5/6 email account.

Isle of Wight Meeting

Year 6 parents are invited to a meeting regarding the Isle of Wight trip on Wednesday 13th March at 2:30pm.  If you are unable to attend, the meeting notes will be sent home with your child.

Year 6 Hoodies

The shop for our Year 6 hoodies will open on Monday.  If you would like to try sizes before ordering, please ask your child to come and see Miss Sharman in Sapphire Class.

Swimming helpers

If you are interested in being a swimming helper, please contact Mrs O'Donoghue, in the office.  We will arrange DBS checks for anyone who needs one.

A message from Mrs Yuille

As a Gold RRS school we are proud to be raising money to help children achieve their Rights within the UK and in the wider global community.  This year we have set up a justgiving page as an additional way to donate to our collection fund if preferred.

On the day children will be able to buy a red nose for £2, bring in some jokes or something funny to share in class and come to school in non-uniform for a donation of your choice.  Thank you for helping us to teach your children about The Rights, and to learn that small actions together can make a big difference!  We are looking forward to a fun Friday taking part in Comic Relief next week!

RRS Article 2:  Children's Rights apply to every child, everywhere all of the time.

Have a lovely weekend
Miss Sharman, Mrs Devlin and Mrs Witherall
