Happy Friday and Happy Half Term everyone!

This half term has flown by and we would like to wish our children a restful week off.  They have worked so hard since Christmas and continue to make us proud every day.

This week, the children have been writing their own chapters for The Hobbit.  They have thoroughly enjoyed reading the text and using it as a model for their own writing.

On Wednesday, we took part in the PTA's coin run.  A huge congratulations to Sapphire, who won the prize for the longest line of coins in KS2.

On Thursday, we were treated to a performance by our young musicians who have been learning to play keyboards and guitars with our music teacher, James.

Today, we enjoyed having a 'wellbeing' day.  We all came to school in comfy clothes and took part in activities such as reading, colouring, painting, craft and a phase game of Bingo to end the day.

We would like to wish you all a lovely half term and we look forward to seeing you on Monday 26th.

World Book Day

This year, World Book Day is on Thursday 7th March. To promote reading within our school community, for this day the children can bring in a favourite book from home which they can share with the other children in their class.

They can also bring in prop which serves as a clue to their favourite book/character or come dressed up as a favourite character too if they so wish. On this day all the children will also receive a £1 World Book Day voucher!
